Time

Time, whose trademark is capitalized TIME, is a weekly American news magazine created in 1923 by Briton Hadden and Henry Luce. The first issue was published on March 3, 1923 and featured Joseph G. Cannon, the retired Speaker of the House of Representatives. This made it the first weekly news magazine in the United States.

Time is known for its signature red border that was introduced in 1927. However, the issue released shortly after the 9/11 attacks featured a black border to symbolize mourning and is the only issue since 1927 that was produced without the signature red border.
